The Tax Collector of Indian River County is responsible for collecting ad valorem taxes and non-ad valorem assessments. We are also responsible for processing applications for motor vehicle titles and issuing registrations for motor vehicles and vessels, issuing real ID driver license and state ID cards, issuing hunting and fishing licenses, issuing local business tax receipts and collecting tourist development taxes. Disabled person parking permit and SunPass transponder are also issued and sold.
Those wishing to obtain a new license, legally change their name, or immediately replace a lost or stolen license or ID card are required to visit a driver license office and show proof of; identification, social security number, legal name changes, and proof of residential address.
